  • Trailer park portal!

This weekend, while fretting about whether I'd make it to round 2 of MXA... I went with a new friend to a small amusement park.  This place is a touch North of Erie, PA and is cute.  But lets rewind it here.

I wake up, brush my teeth and go to my bedroom to figure out what to wear. I realized then that I needed a bathing suit. Ugh. I have my red swim dress but I don't want that to get destroyed by chlorine and whatnot. This is public, I cannot get away with wearing a bikini anymore.  *sigh*

So back to my dresser where I pulled out a random pair of shorts and a tank top. I packed up a towel and a change of clothes for later. I grabbed a gatorade and left.

To Dicks, where I bought swim shorts and a tankini top. It was an extra 50% off... I got a new 2 piecer for $20!!!

Then I had to drive about a half hour down the freeway to get to a town where I was to meet my friend so we could proceed to said amusement park/waterpark.  On the car ride, I plugged in my ipod and we flew down the road listening to my music schizophrenia.

From the interstate to our final destination it was a good 10 miles.  So there we were following the GPS and all of sudden we are driving through a neighborhood of small ranch-style houses.  Those downgraded to a lovely trailer park where lo and behold!! The magical gates to Waldameer amusement park appear.

Friends, this weekend yours truly rode the only rollercoaster in this great nation to go OVER a 4 lane highway.  I rode this fine beast of a woodie not once but...THREE TIMES.  The Ravine Flyer is truly a prime example of traditional wooden rollercoaster delight!  As fast and fun as it was during the day, the whole darkness factor really took the ride to a whole new level!

I also rode many waterslides because it was hot and this Waldameer has waterpark offerings. They could really use a wavepool though. Anyways... I rode a couple speedslides and an intertube slide where we had a sweet wipeout landing! They had a giant hot tub so if I get sick this week, at least I'll know why. They also had the coldest lazy river I've ever experienced.

Then yesterday I played Ultimate until my body didn't want to work anymore.
